TVNZ appoints interim Australian ad reps

TVNZ, New Zealand’s biggest free to air TV broadcaster, has appointed interim ad reps to handle its business in Australia.

Its previous local market representative was Brand New Media, which was placed into administration last month – prompting the changes.

TVNZ’s Commercial Director Jeremy O’Brien says he’s poised to appoint a long-term replacement. In the meantime TVNZ has contracted the services of Peter Moore to look after its New South Wales business, Adrian Christian to manage its Victoria interests, and Andrew Guiver to handle the Queensland, Adelaide and Perth markets.

“We won’t skip a beat. TVNZ is committed to maintaining our presence in the Australian market and we’ll continue to offer outstanding service to our advertisers and agency partners. While we finalise our long term ad representation arrangements, our commercial partners can be assured we’ve got an experienced and expert team acting on our behalf.”

Every day 2.2 million New Zealanders join TVNZ on air and online. The company has the largest share of the New Zealand TV ad market. It operates the country’s two most watched channels, TV ONE and TV2, plus brand new male-skewed channel DUKE, along with New Zealand’s favourite local on demand destination, TVNZ OnDemand, and leading news site ONE News Now.
